DAVID B. RIVER , B.A. has been a full-time mediator since 1995. At Diane Neumann & Associates, he mediates separation and divorce settlements, custody, child support and post-divorce issues. David is a specialist in web-based communication and facilitation for clients who prefer this method of communication.

David has provided training for Divorce Mediation Training Associates, one of the oldest divorce mediation associations in Massachusetts, and NMCDR. In all, he as trained over one hundred mediators, including attorneys, therapists and educators. He is a frequent speaker on mediation with the Divorce Center and other professional and community groups.

David has mediated conflict situations with federal environmental agencies, youth, school personnel, community groups, businesses, and Native American communities. Previously, he directed a court-connected mediation program with the New Mexico Center for Dispute Resolution (NMCDR) where he was the assistant director of a statewide conflict resolution education program.

David graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a degree in Peace Studies. Prior to Diane Neumann & Associates, David was a partner in JustPeace Systems Design, which provided consultation and training for non-profit corporations and school systems for the development of conflict resolution education programs. Clients included the Chicago Public School System.

Currently, David is on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation and is a member of the national Association for Conflict Resolution. In his spare time, he is a website designer and a professional singer.
